Since I have joined the University of Toronto in January 2014, I have worked with numerous undergraduate students in the work-study program. Please, check out my research and grants pages to see my past and current projects.
Usually we would meet once a week to track your progress and to direct your future work. Alternative channels of communication are email, Facebook, and Skype. You would normally work between 6 and 12 hours a week, but the schedule is rather flexible and can be tailored to your need. The amount of supervision varies depending on your preferences and my research needs. You will be paid in a timely manner, provided you fill out the relevant forms on time. I will be happy to provide reference for your future employers or graduate school applications.
I expect high motivation, eagerness to learn and extend your skills and knowledge. Undergraduate jobs require weekly progress over the course of the semester. Excellent organization and time management skills are essential.
Check CLN for any current work-study opportunities. I am usually hiring in April-May (for the summer program) and August-September (for the fall-winter program).
Interested in volunteering? I would be happy to hear from you. We can find a research project that would suit your needs and interests. Please, contact me here. We will schedule an appointment right away.
